One Month of Social Content for an Online Fashion Brand
Sell without posting a catalog: a month of content for an e-commerce fashion brand, with a launch, a full calendar and written captions.
· Use cases
An online fashion brand has no storefront on the street. Its social media is the storefront, the fitting room and the helpful salesperson, all at once. That's an advantage, because the product is visual by nature. It's also a trap: when every post looks like a product page, followers feel like they're flipping through a catalog and scroll right past. Here's how to build a month of content that sells without feeling like a nonstop ad.
Our examples follow Linon & Sel, a fictional small fashion brand sold online: linen and cotton basics, short collections, small-batch production and customers who care about fabric.
The challenges of an e-commerce fashion brand
- Customers can't touch anything. Fabric, fit, drape: everything people judge in a store has to come through images and words.
- The collection cycle. A launch demands a lot of content in a short time, then comes a lull. Without solid pillars, your feed gets patchy.
- The discount trap. Promo codes get a click, but a brand that only talks about sales teaches its customers to wait for the next one.
- Returns. Many returns come from the wrong size or mismatched expectations. Good content (size guides, try-ons on different body types) cuts them down.
Networks to prioritize
Instagram, the heart of the brand
Outfit carousels, try-on videos, making-of content, stories for restocks. This is where your brand's world gets built.
TikTok, for product in motion
How a dress moves, the texture of a sweater, an honest try-on in three sizes: short video shows what a photo can't. The tone can be more spontaneous here.
Pinterest, for lasting inspiration
For fashion, Pinterest is a search engine for outfit ideas. A well-described pin can keep sending visitors to your site long after you post it.
YouTube Shorts and Facebook, as relays
YouTube Shorts gives your vertical videos a second life. Facebook is still useful for a slightly older clientele and for announcing private sales or events.
Five content pillars
- The product, worn. Full outfits, on different body types, in real life. Ideas: "One shirt, three ways to wear it," the same piece tried on in S, M and L.
- Fabric and making. Where the linen comes from, why this weave, how to care for a piece so it lasts. This is what justifies your price.
- Advice. Size guide, how to pair the collection's colors, a ten-piece capsule wardrobe.
- Behind the scenes. Choosing fabrics, failed prototypes, packing orders, the collection shoot.
- Community. Customers sharing their outfits, with their permission, and questions you get by DM turned into content.

Four written captions
Styling (Instagram carousel)
We designed it for every day, not just vacation. The Sel shirt, worn three ways: open over a white tee for the weekend, tucked into wide-leg pants for the office, knotted at the waist over a skirt when it's warm out. Swipe through and tell us which one is most you.
Honest try-on (TikTok)
Same shirt, three sizes, one person. The S is fitted at the shoulders, the M falls straight, the L is roomy and easy to knot. If you're between sizes, the guide is linked in our bio, or send us your measurements and we'll help.
Fabric (Instagram, Facebook)
Linen isn't something we pick at random. Ours is tightly woven so it holds its shape, and it gets softer with every wash. In this carousel: where it comes from, why it wrinkles (and why we love that), and how to keep it looking good for years. Save it for your next laundry day.
Launch (Instagram, Facebook)
You asked for it in our poll, and here it is. The Sel shirt now comes in sage green, same sizes, same fabric. Small batch, as always: it went live this morning.
What you photograph, what you generate
- Photograph and film yourself: the real garments, worn, on different body types; close-ups of the fabric; try-ons; behind the scenes at the workshop and during shipping. Customers should receive exactly what they saw.
- Generate or design: advice carousels (size guide, care, capsule), announcement graphics, mood scenes that start from your real product photos without altering the product, captions adapted to each network, voice-over and subtitles.
- Never do: change the color, cut or drape of a garment with a generated image. That's a direct path to returns and disappointed reviews.
Build the month around a single photo shoot
For a small brand, every shoot is expensive in time. The goal is to get a whole month of material out of one session.
- A shot list before you start: each piece worn full-length, in motion, in a fabric close-up, and paired with two other pieces from the collection.
- Several body types if you can, even friends or willing customers: that's what makes your try-ons believable.
- Vertical video shot alongside the photos: a few seconds of walking, fabric moving or a button being fastened are enough for several short videos.
- One folder per pillar to sort images as soon as the shoot ends: worn product, fabric, advice, behind the scenes.
The month's launch then becomes a matter of scheduling, not a race against the clock.
Measure what matters
- Clicks to the product page and, if your store supports it, sales attributed to social.
- Saves on styling and advice carousels: they signal purchase intent for later.
- DM questions about sizing and fabric: they show where your content still needs to reassure people.
- Return reasons: if size-related returns drop after a month of try-on content, that's a concrete result.
- Clicks from Pinterest, tracked over several months rather than week to week.
Preparing this month in Oposto
- Brief: the pieces to feature, the month's launch, the brand's tone.
- Brand DNA: Oposto learns your voice, colors, products and audience from your website.
- Campaign: posts, image carousels, design carousels and short videos with voice-over and subtitles, organized on the calendar around the launch and adapted to each network.
- Approval: you review everything and swap in your own photos where needed.
- Publishing at the planned time on Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook or the other networks you choose, then real performance tracking so you can reuse what worked best.
To try it with your brand, go to oposto.app and start with a brief like: "Plan a month of content for my online linen clothing brand, with a new color launching in week three." You approve every post before it goes out.
